My First Book Review! - The Little Tree By Agnes Szenozicska Schultz, MD

 

The Little Tree, published by Dorrance Publishing is very simple but has profound messages, not only for children but for adults. When I read the book, it made me remember that my children will recall the things I teach them throughout their lives so I need to make sure that I try to teach them good values and morals while being a good example. This book teaches children that when they are faced with struggles, they need to be strong and courageous and remember the advice their parents teach them. It also teaches them that they must first develop on the inside (which cannot be seen) before focusing on the outside image (which cannot be seen) if they want to feel successful and happy. They also learn by example that if they help others they will be less lonely and happier. The author did a good job writing a book that is fun to read yet has a simple but profound meaning behind it. The pictures are black and white and artistically done. I would recommend this book.
